Time Traveler
Designer
Design Concept:
My grandmother is living with severe Alzheimer’s disease in an elderly care facility. Each time I visit her and talk with other elderly people, I’m struck by how drastically human mobility and independence can fade with age—how walking and running, once so effortless, can become impossible.
This installation is designed to take place inside an elevator. Here, the audience is invited to sit in a wheelchair, surrounded by immersive visuals and soundscapes that shift with the motion of the elevator itself—transforming an elevator into a vessel for time and space travel.
The video experience blends fragments of the past, present, and future, offering a journey beyond physical limits. I hope this site-specific installation becomes a portal for those who can no longer travel—allowing them to revisit childhood, dream forward, or simply feel transported beyond the walls that confine them.
This project is ongoing, and I hope to expand it to create more inclusive, meaningful experiences for anyone longing to move, remember, or imagine.
